Florescent disc rises on warm pink edge,
Desperate feet retreat from high ledge,
Thoughts brighten and ledges hide,
Blinding rays warm a cold inside.
Slumber whored bed empty on one side,
No love, no one night, definitely no bride.
Hourglass turns and soon begins the sands,
Daybreak looms for the unheld hands.
Those who love but do not see,
Past sea of masks to misery.
Overwhelming desires to end life,
A stay of execution every night.
For onlookers life swirl and progress as it should,
Each spare love and attention as much as they could,
They speed off and push to the side,
The unnoticed one left behind.
Shred, tear and give each their place,
Every jibe slowly carving a new face,
Jay a long glance down from the top,
When will this fortress's construction stop?
With sun comes crystal and vague lack of self,
Worries of not being true and mental health,
A seldom stab amongst blood stained zen,
Not one sees this shadow amongst men.
Sun meets high and issues complicate,
Wars begin between chaos and peace. Love and hate.
Armies too matched to ever clear a path,
Instead the gift is a grim blood bath.
Onlookers sympathise but never understand,
As bargaining stops slaughter by own hands.
Have to amount to something in this life,
Even if it will never be wedding a wife.
Orb meets edge and warm lights fade,
Sands of time soon spent on this charade,
Gentle snoozing as shoulders overlook,
Something too dangerous to awake be shook.
Disc fallen and evil creep,
Absences of sound and sleep,
New disc born forces beasts to awake,
Same old joy of toying with one's fate.
Silent screams as flesh surrenders to claws,
Dreams shatter as self meets their jaws,
Every inch bleeds and burns,
The light too maimed to return.
Black, spiked and four taloned paws,
White eyes, tracking nose and blood hungry jaws,
No care between taste of a him or her,
Behold my killer, my yang, my monster.
Unprepared front line falls fast,
Armies too thin to ever outlast,
On my own squared to the beast,
Survival for one to the other: a feast.
Onlookers love but do not see,
As beast destroys all that is me,
Motherly moon oblivious with a know nothing grin,
Distant from her is the droplets falling from chin.
Horizon does not lighten and dark wins out,
Black eats through all punch, kicks and shouts,
Jaws strike deep and finally surrender to the pain,
Then day looms and the attack begins again.
